Damn dude this site use to rock back in the day circa 2000 as Morley would say..lol..shirts, decals, Island style vid...now there is not even any graphics.....this site should have had an overall before it went online...who really cares about it going mobile.

Very bland.

It's coming Rue. Morley wasn't planning on having this part up right away but when he was working on this version he accidentally deleted everything from the old version. He's busy with other stuff, but the main page should be coming. Should be pretty similar to the old site with the blog style, just sort of backwards. The old way when a story was posted on the main page, I could make it a story in the forum as well. This way the News forum will have the option of making it a story on the main page.

For the pure trials stuff I'm on an '09 Echo Control. 19 pounds with no cheater parts or modifications. Sub 18 with cheater tires easy. I just got a Reset 24" frame and am starting the build. Really looking forward to it.

Who did you get to do the custom bike? Steel or Alu? Did you go more of a trialsy geo or more of the street geo with it?

Good to hear from Morley hope things are going good for ya.
I got married last summer and just had a baby boy On Dec 11/09....so alot has changed.....Alain Yong also got married last year and is expecting his son in another month.

Brett I got my frame done by Marino as I wanted a steel frame this time.
I had him do 360 dropouts with various slug/inserts for whatever axles I decide to use albeit bolt on 8mm ,9mm 14mm..even 20mm.
I designed it awhile back and it took awhile to explain it and show him my designs but in the end he got it and liked my idea.
I had a rear disc mount but will prolly swap over to my Maguras again.....lock up is not really to my liking...modualtion is awesome for streety moves but trials moves..to sketchy for me.
+35 BB
73 headtube
3 seat post design like the original coust frames....with it being steel theres more flex so I thought I would go wit the 3 posts to help stiffen the rear a bit..I believe it worked great.
BMX seat...ECLAT 1 piece seat/post
385 chainstays..so quite trialsy
wide enough for a 2.7 tire..even though i'm using 2.4 Maxxis holy rollers
1040 wheelbase
seat post/headtube/bb shell all hollowed out
also a custom disc specific steel 360 dropout fork.
all raw finished..no paint.
My seat post is alot lower then an Inspired 4play...prolly a little lower then the original zoo pitbulls...small frame.

Had trials bars & stem in the beginning now its more shorter...70mm stem 0 rise (point one racing 139grms) with 86mm high riser bars (Monty 221 Ti risers)...will prolly go with a 50mm stem next (126grms)..again prolly with 0rise as the point one racing stems don't have a rise but are light as ass and have a integrated stem cap...I would like a bit of a rise on my stem but maybe I can just find a higher rise bar. The shorter stems are easier to toss around ..I find at least...I started with a 100mm stem..lol.
Using WI Front freewheel 18t with a 15t Echo Ti cog......will prolly go back to a 14t though as 15 I find is not the best for street.
I also have Echo SL hubs and Echo SL rims and use a Crank Bros Headset (66grms)

I was thinkng bout tossing on one of the Atomlab hydroGyro's and the Atomlab twister star nut to allow bar spins without the hassel of tangling up hydro cables or running them excessively long.

I find 24 alot of fun..best of both worlds. What you building your up with?? would love to hear what your plans are for it.

I can't believe Morley isn't on a 24"...being a huge Eddie Tongue fan..lol

Congrats Rue. Didn't you move out of the Ontario area too?

Bike sounds sweet. Bar and stem setup on these things seem to be a bit of trouble. Check out the Onza stem from Tarty. They have one that is 85x20 I think. With all that rise it probably works out to around the same reach as a 50x0. You are gonna pay the weight penalty on the stem, but if you moved to a higher rise bar then a traditional trials bar you are gonna get hit with that, plus you could lose some spacers and steer tube. I've heard the Atomlab gyro's are impossible to get even a respectable bleed with, and being picky trials riders I doubt it would last long on your bike.

My bike will be pretty much the same geo as yours. I'm running middleburns with a 22 tooth one sided bash from tnn that is really light and nice. Chris King SS in the rear but I'm gonna run it with two cogs, pedalling and trials and I modified a tensioner that looks like a derailleur pretty much to work with both gears. I'll post pics when I'm done. Running a V in the back too and lighter street tires at least for now. I have the pure trials bike so this one will be cheating for only street stuff and a little more psi.

Morley is on a 24" these days. It's a Reset with a little shorter front end then the standard ones. I think he went too short, with bars too low, but hes quite a bit shorter than I am so who knows.

Thanx alot Brett.
I moved outta Ontario/Canada awhile back to Cali but am now back in Toronto.

I never even realized that point you made about the longer stem higher rise equaling a shorter stem with 0 rise...thanx...i can't believe all these years i never noticed that.
Good to know about that Gyro...I haven't heard anything about them but seeing you have i will pass on it.
The 2 gears thing sounds sweet..wish I thought about that before I built mine as I have another King hub collecting dust.
I personally have never been a fan of v's but that just personal preference..I just don't like cables period.
I'm running my tires at 50psi.
What wheelbase you running?...tyres?

Thats to funny Morleys on a 24"...I remember him saying when he lived here in TO that he wanted a 24".
